Dan Prindle      Bass, Cello, Guitar - all styles  ::  Jazz and Pop/Rock piano

Dan Prindle is an instrumentalist and composer originally from Manchester, Conn., who now resides in Northampton, Mass. He can be found performing in a wide range of venues from rock clubs to weddings, both as a soloist and accompanying some of the finest musicians in the Northeast United States. Dan was named Best Bassist in both 2004 and 2006 by the Hartford Advocate.  He has also worked with numerous award-winning ensembles. RANE, with whom Dan has played since 1996, has been recognized as Best New Band, Best Groove Rock Band, Best Indie/Emo Band, and Best Pop Band by the Hartford Advocate.  RANE has appeared in cities all over the Northeast, including Hartford, Boston, Providence, Baltimore, Pittsburgh, New York, Chicago. They have opened for such noteworhy performers as Allman Brothers Band, Jerry Garcia Band, Santana, Rusted Root, Tom Petty, Guster and Ozomatli.


Dan holds a Bachelor of Music degree from Berklee College of Music, where he majored in composition and his principle instrument was electric bass.  Dan graduated magna cum laude in 2001.  He is currently enrolled in the Music Theory Ph.D. program at the University of Massachusetts.  He has been teaching private lessons in bass, cello, piano, guitar, and music theory since 1999.  He is currently employed as a graduate teaching assistant at UMASS and teaches during the summers at Goodwin College in East Hartford, CT, where Dan was named “Teacher of the Program” in 2008.

 
Michelle Marinelli Prindle is an active soprano with a Bachelor of Music degree in classical vocal performance from The Hartt School in West Hartford, Conn., where she graduated summa cum laude in 2002. Her operatic roles include Frasquita in Carmen, Giannetta in L'Elisir d'Amore, the Second Lady in The Magic Flute, and Nannetta in Falstaff. Her sacred music performances include soprano soloist in E.T.A. Hoffmann's Miserere in B Minor and Mozart's Regina Coeli with Capella Carolina in Heidelberg, Germany, and soprano soloist in Haydn's Missa brevis Sancti Joannis de Deo in Manchester, Conn. Recital work has included concerts and lecture-recitals in Salzburg, Austria; Heidelberg, Germany; and Florence, Italy. She was a soprano section leader and soloist with the Gallery Choir at St. Patrick-St. Anthony Church in Hartford, Conn. for three seasons. Michelle is currently a student of accomplished soprano Constance Hauman, and has also studied with Fritz Moses, Benita Valente and Julian Rodescu. Fluent in German, she has studied extensively the poetry of the German Romantics and is a specialist in German Lieder.


Michelle has taught private voice and piano lessons since 2001. Her students have been admitted to competitive voice and musical theater programs throughout the United States, including those at Wagner College and the Conservatory at Shenandoah University, and have been accepted to the Eastern Regional and All-State Music Festivals in Connecticut. She is also a diction coach, specializing in German and Italian vocal literature, and is a licensed Kindermusik instructor.

Prindle Music Studio is dedicated to delivering high-quality music instruction to students of all ages and levels.  Prindle Music Studio was started by husband-and-wife team Dan and Michelle Prindle in 2006 as an extension of their love of music, performing, and teaching.  We offer private lessons for casual and serious students alike to help you reach your musical goals.  No matter where you are today, beginner, intermediate, or advanced, we can help you to start improving right away.  Lesson times are available now, so we can get most students started within a day or two.  We offer lessons to young children, adults, and all ages in between.

Our latest addition is Kindermusik with Michelle, early-childhood music and movement classes for newborns to age seven.
